Key Responsibilities

• Conservation Management
• Document and maintain conservation records for the
• Museum's collections, ensuring their preservation.
• Implement conservation protocols to maintain the safety and
• integrity of collections.
• Preventive Conservation
• Work with colleagues to develop and implement strategies
• and protocols to ensure that the collections receive an
• appropriate standard of care as per international best
• practice.
• Assist in developing and implementing storage and
• environmental monitoring measures.
• Support preventive conservation efforts such as routine
• maintenance, periodic evaluations, and emergency planning
• for safeguarding collections against potential damage.
• Collaboration and Research
• Collaborate with internal teams and external conservation
• experts to support preservation projects.
• Undertake research relevant to conservation and stay
• informed of developments in the field.

Qualifications & Experience

• MA Conservation or MA in relevant subject + diploma in
• Conservation (essential).
• Prior experience of at least 5 years in museum conservation or
• private conservation studios essential. Experience in conserving
• mixed materials preferred.
