Job Description

FridayAI is an AI product research and engineering company building the next generation of Artificially Useful Intelligence (AUI). Our goal is straightforward: make AI genuinely useful in real-world enterprise environments. We develop systems that optimize cost, speed, and intelligence by combining deep infrastructure engineering with applied AI design.

We are in the final stage of developing our core product - the Adaptive Context Window (ACW) Engine for enterprise AI workloads - and we are now expanding the founding team.

Role Overview

You will lead architecture, SDK development, plugin framework design, deployment strategy, and all enterprise-grade engineering. This is a founding-level leadership role for someone who wants to shape a deep-tech product from early stage to large-scale adoption.

About ACW

ACW is an adaptive AI infrastructure layer that optimizes LLM workloads, reduces cost, and dynamically routes prompts across multiple model providers. The next phase includes building robust SDKs, an adaptive plugin ecosystem, and enterprise deployment pipelines.

We are looking for a hands-on CTO-level engineer who can take full ownership of ACW's technical direction, productization, and enterprise delivery.

What You Will Own

  • Lead development of ACW SDKs (Python, JS, Go) and the plugin system
  • Architect scalable AI routing, caching, and token optimization workflows
  • Build enterprise-ready deployment packages (cloud and on-prem)
  • Define engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices
  • Work closely with founders on roadmap and technical decision-making
  • Support enterprise clients with integrations, customization, and deployment
  • Participate in technical sales, demos, and customer onboarding
  • Establish documentation, security models, and compliance posture
  • Hire and mentor the future engineering team as the product scales

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of strong engineering experience
  • Background in AI infrastructure, LLM routing, inference engines, or API platform design
  • Experience building SDKs or extensible plugin architectures
  • Solid understanding of containers, DevOps, distributed systems, and performance tuning
  • Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures
  • Hands-on problem solver - this is a builder role, not a managerial one
  • Experience working with enterprise clients is a strong advantage
  • Clear communication across both engineering and customer-facing discussions

Why Join Us

  • Build a high-impact AI infrastructure product from day zero
  • Full ownership and decision-making authority over technical direction
  • Direct influence on how enterprises adopt and scale AI
  • Equity-driven role with meaningful upside
  • Move fast, build ambitious systems, and shape the next wave of AI infrastructure

Compensation

  • Competitive founding-equity package
  • Performance-based vesting milestones
  • No salary until product launch due to the critical early-stage nature of the role
