Within IT Flat Europe organization, the Digital & IT Finance and Procurement perimeter i responsible for the IT Strategy of the Finance and Procurement functions, including efficiency, process and system exploitation and optimization.
The Crystal Functional analyst will join an IT department focused on the differentiated cost calculation for Flat steel business. These figures are crucial for monthly cost reporting, calculation of sales margins, the ArcelorMittal Operating Statement and benchmarking costs across different Flat plants. Furthermore this data serves as an input for the CMO dynamic price calculation (NINA).
The stakeholders of this application are local and central Finance department, Commercial department and Supply chain teams.
The Crystal functional analyst acts as a liaison between business users and the IT team, translating business needs into detailed functional specifications for software and IT systems. They are responsible for defining how a system should work to meet business goals, which includes gathering requirements, designing user stories, assisting with testing, and ensuring the final product aligns with business needs. This role often requires strong communication, business knowledge, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities includes :
Technical and Process Understanding
As you will have to report the cost over the different production steps, it is important to understand the different steps in the steel-producing processes, being familiar with technical material specifications in the ArcelorMittal Flat product range.
Data Translation and Financial Integration
Translate manufacturing and technical data of the orders and production process, coming from different data sources structured in templates, into financial and accounting data.
Cost Allocation and Rule Management
Implement, update, and maintain multiple cost allocation and differentiation rules expressed in formulas, coefficients, and decision tables.
Support and Issue Resolution
Offer continuous support and solve calculation issues.
Reporting and Insights
Design ad-hoc requested business reports in SAP BI using SAC (SAP Analytical Cloud).
Present and provide insights into the cost differentiation figures on a monthly basis to the Board of Managers (Chief Financial Officer & Chief Marketing Officer).
Technology and Tools Management
Work with MS SQL Server as the database and calculation engine.
Use a user front-end application in HTML5/Angular and backend in C#.
Leverage SAP BI data warehouse and SAC dashboard reporting tools for reporting.
