Role Overview

We are looking for a Retention Marketing Executive to drive repeat purchases, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing for The Wellness Shop.

This role will focus heavily on WhatsApp marketing, automation flows, CRM tools, and content-led retention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

WhatsApp Marketing (Primary Focus)

  • Plan and execute WhatsApp campaigns (broadcasts, flows, journeys)
  • Build and optimize automated flows such as:
  • Abandoned cart recovery
  • Order updates
  • Re-engagement campaigns
  • Upsell / cross-sell journeys
  • Segment users based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement
  • Track performance metrics like CTR, conversions, revenue from WhatsApp

Tools & Integrations

  • Work with tools like Interakt, WATI, AiSensy, Gupshup, or similar
  • Integrate WhatsApp with Shopify / website / CRM tools
  • Set up and manage automations, APIs, and campaign flows
  • Coordinate with tech teams for smooth data flow and tracking

Content & Campaign Planning

  • Plan monthly retention calendar (offers, campaigns, drops)
  • Write high-converting copies for WhatsApp, SMS, and email
  • Ideate creative campaigns for repeat purchase and engagement
  • Align messaging with brand tone (clean, aspirational, friendly)

Graphics & Creative Ideation

  • Work closely with design team for:
  • WhatsApp creatives (banners, product cards)
  • Offer creatives and festive campaigns
  • Ideate high-converting formats (before-after, UGC, offers, bundles)
  • Suggest improvements in creative performance

Retention & Revenue Growth

  • Improve key metrics like:
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Customer lifetime value (LTV)
  • Conversion rates from CRM channels
  • Launch campaigns for inactive user reactivation
  • Work on offers, bundles, and loyalty strategies

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • 1–3 years of experience in Retention / CRM / Lifecycle Marketing (D2C preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in WhatsApp marketing tools (Interakt, WATI, AiSensy, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of customer journeys and segmentation
  • Strong copywriting skills for conversion-focused messaging
  • Good understanding of Shopify / D2C ecosystem

Good to Have

  • Experience with email/SMS marketing tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Understanding of basic analytics (CTR, CVR, revenue tracking)
  • Exposure to automation tools / integrations
