The Crewing Manager for Crewing Operationswillact as in charge of the crewing operations for assigned fleet tanker ordry. Responsible for quarterly KPIs ofCrewingDepartment. This position will ensurethecompliance of seafarers onboard withthe Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and Standards for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) requirements. Ensurequality control, performancemanagementrelatedinputand advice. Ensure compliance withvesselsbudgets, client specific requirements and meet internal customers expectations. Communicates internally and externally to support business functions. Leads a team to manage crewing requirementsofa fleet of vessels
Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for Crewing KPIs
- Monitor sourcing of seafarers and approval process ofsame
- Forecast and plan for crew management. Ensuring matrix compliance
- Plan promotions and beneficial attrition to improve bench strength
- Monitor performance of team members for compliance with vessel related statutory, regulatory, Wallem, Union and Clients requirements and keeps abreast of changes in compliance requirements, sets plans and guides team members
- Oversee handling of grievance investigations and disciplinary matters in compliance with MLC guidelines
- Institute compliance systems and practices tomonitoradherence to regulations
- Prepare and reviewmanpowerforecasting and engage with management/ other internal stakeholders to identifyanticipatedemployment needs of seafarers
- Overseea continuousdevelopment and maintenance of relationships withmanningagencies and formulate strategies to improve candidate planning process
- Review and approve expectations posed during deployment of crew and review seafarers performance, propose improvements to crewing practices and suggestions for promotion in collaboration with top management
- Monitor negotiations with seafaring unions and review contractual terms accordingly
- Ensure compliancewithcrew management policies and procedures to promote engagement strategies.
- Act as a focal point for seafarers wellness and engagement initiatives
- Analyze and manage crewingoperationwithin the budget. Responsible forvariance,reporting to owners
- Evaluate the organization's financial performance and prepare and review OPEX budgets for crew management
- Monitor and deliver results meeting key performance indicators for operational performance
- Communicate with Technical, Operation, Vetting and Safety Departments and Seafarers to deliver business results
- Responsible forNetworking andmaintainingprofessional relationships with local authorities and unions
- Keep abreast of business risks and escalate to seniorswithmitigating proposals
- Prepare and oversee the office audits with the QA team and overall, in chargeofdelivery of Crewing KPI's and supports business growth. Ensure compliance as required by WSM is adhered to
- Provide corrective/preventive actions for crew dept. observations and NC's during audits with KPIs set
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, crew certification, and industry best practices
- Leadership and team management skills, with effective decision-making capabilities
- 5 years experience in Management with Advanced Shipboard experience.
- Relevant maritime background or qualifications, such as degree/certification in maritime studies or related field
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with dry and tanker fleet operations is highly advantageous
