About The Role

A Day in the Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Delivery
  • Lead day-to-day Billing operations
  • Ensure 100% compliance with SLAs (TAT, quality, productivity).
  • Oversee charge capture accuracy and clean claim submissions.
  • Monitor aging buckets related to billing rejections and ensure timely resolution.
  • Allocate work volumes based on load balancing and priority.
  • People & Performance Management
  • Manage a team of Billing Associates, SMEs, and TLs (team size 2050 depending on scope).
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and skill assessments.
  • Drive team motivation, retention, and competency development.
  • Create and manage staffing plans, leave plans, and shift coverage.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as primary point of contact for client operations, delivery, and escalations.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly client governance calls and share performance dashboards.
  • Build strong relationships with onshore POCs, Managers and Team Leads
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, PHI handling, and audit standards.
  • Drive quality review mechanisms (QA audits, RCA, corrective actions).
  • Implement internal controls to minimize errors, resubmissions, and denials.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Publish daily/weekly/monthly performance dashboards (Productivity, QC, SLA, throughput).
  • Track key KPIs: Charge Lag, Clean Claim Rate, Billing Accuracy, Productivity.
  • Analyze trends and implement process improvements.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify gaps in billing workflows and implement automation/lean improvements.
  • Collaborate with technology/automation teams to streamline processes (EHR/PM systems).
  • Reduce rework and operational cost through standardized best practices.
  • Cross-functional Coordination
  • Work closely with AR, Cash Posting, and Eligibility teams to ensure seamless RCM flow.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 612 years of experience in US Healthcare RCM with strong Billing expertise.
  • Minimum 24 years in a leadership/people management role.
  • Expertise in CPT, ICD, modifiers, and billing guidelines
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure, escalations, and dynamic client requirements.
