Our client is a leading global commodity trading. As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking a talented Credit Risk Analyst to join its Risk team in Singapore. Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, traders, and government-related entities.
- Perform financial analysis, credit reviews, and risk assessments using financial statements, market intelligence, and industry research.
- Prepare and present credit recommendations, including credit limits and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor counterparty exposures and ensure compliance with approved credit limits.
- Evaluate trading structures, payment terms, collateral arrangements, guarantees, and other credit enhancement mechanisms.
- Identify emerging credit risks and recommend appropriate action plans.
- Work closely with Commercial, Trading, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to support business growth while maintaining sound risk controls.
- Support ongoing portfolio reviews, stress testing, and risk reporting activities.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of credit risk policies, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 4–8 years of experience in Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Commodity Trading, Trade Finance, or related financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement assessment, and risk management principles.
- Experience assessing corporate and counterparty credit risk.
- Knowledge of commodity trading, structured trade finance, supply chain finance, or treasury products is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with risk management systems are preferred.
