Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce Credit Research Reports that provide financial and valuation analysis on performing, high yield, stressed and distressed private- and public-Asian ex-China corporates.
  • Assist in periodic macro reports on bonds, private credit, syndicated loans and the macroeconomic factors that affect them.
  • Interact with subscribers electronically and personally to discuss credit and macro analysis.
  • Periodically provide analysis for internal Debtwire and ION projects.
  • Along with creating credit research, the candidate will assist in various weekly, monthly, quarterly, special reports and ad-hoc projects.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A graduate from reputable US, UK, European universities or Indian Institute of Management.
  • You should have two to three years experience either as a credit or equity research analyst in an investment bank and or investment management. Fresh graduates with relevant internships and work experience will be considered.
  • Experience in covering APAC non-bank financial institutions and or industrials would be a plus.
  • Ability to write reports with convincing evidence-based thesis and conclusions in a structured manner.
  • Naturally curious and driven to figure out how to analyze complex situations and be tenacious in obtaining information.
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements: income statement, balance sheet and cash flows and the drive to thoroughly read the information supporting the financial statements.
  • A thorough understanding of debt and equity securities and the markets they trade in.
  • Strong English presentation, speaking and writing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment, with a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Ability to manage workflow under strict deadlines.
  • Candidates should be prepared to take a writing test.
