Job Description

Job Summary**

The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit assessment and risk management processes for the Ramachandrapuram branch, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Manage and lead a team of credit analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies and procedures to minimize credit risk while supporting business growth.
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan applications, including financial statement analysis, cash flow projections, and collateral valuation.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, making informed decisions on loan approvals, denials, and terms.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs of credit deterioration, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to senior management and credit committees.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, internal policies, and credit guidelines.
  • Liaise with sales, operations, and legal departments to facilitate smooth credit operations and resolve credit-related issues.
  • Negotiate and structure complex credit facilities and repayment plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk management.

Job Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in credit management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of credit principles, financial analysis, risk assessment, and lending products.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound credit decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in credit risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to credit operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
