Job Summary
The Credit Control Manager MIS is responsible for managing the organization's credit control function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing bad debts, monitoring customer credit limits, and preparing MIS reports that support business decision-making. The role involves analyzing credit performance, collection efficiency, aging reports, and key financial metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Management
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms.
- Review and approve credit applications and credit limit revisions.
- Minimize overdue receivables and bad debt exposure.
- Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures.
Collections & Receivables Management
- Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) aging.
- Ensure timely follow-up on overdue payments.
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding customer payment issues.
- Escalate delinquent accounts and recommend recovery actions.
- Track collection targets and cash flow forecasts.
MIS Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Generate AR aging reports, collection reports, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and credit exposure reports.
- Analyze trends in customer payment behavior.
- Create dashboards and management presentations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve collections and reduce credit risk.
Data Management & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate customer credit and receivable records.
- Ensure data integrity in ERP and accounting systems.
- Automate reporting processes where possible.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company credit policies.
- Monitor credit risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA (Finance) or professional accounting qualification preferred.
- 5 to10+ years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance MIS reporting.
- Experience in credit risk assessment and collections management.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA preferred)
- ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
