Job Description

Garudavega one of India's leading international courier and logistics companies, with 400+ branches across 185+ locations in India, we deliver shipments safely and on time to over 200 countries including the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. As we continue to expand our market presence and drive business growth, we are looking to bring on board an experienced Credit Control Manager.

The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for managing the company's credit exposure, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining a healthy cash flow. The role involves monitoring receivables, enforcing credit policies, minimizing credit losses, and supporting business growth through controlled credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Management & Policy Implementation

  • Develop, implement, and monitor credit control policies and procedures
  • Define customer credit limits based on financial evaluation and business risk
  • Periodically review and revise credit limits based on payment behavior and exposure
  • Ensure adherence to approved credit terms across all branches and customers

2. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Monitor outstanding receivables and ageing reports on a daily/weekly basis
  • Ensure timely invoicing, reconciliation, and follow-up for collections
  • Track overdue accounts and initiate escalation procedures
  • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow

3. Collections & Recovery

  • Drive collection strategies for overdue accounts
  • Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams for recovery of outstanding dues
  • Handle high-value and critical customer collections directly

4. Customer Account Reconciliation

  • Ensure regular reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Resolve billing disputes, short payments, and mismatches in coordination with internal teams
  • Monitor credit notes, adjustments, and ensure proper documentation

5. Risk Assessment & Control

  • Conduct financial analysis and creditworthiness checks for new and existing customers
  • Identify high-risk accounts and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain provisions for doubtful debts and write-offs as per policy

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare periodic reports on receivables, ageing, collections, and credit losses
  • Provide insights to management on credit exposure and collection performance
  • Maintain dashboards for branch-wise and customer-wise outstanding

7. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Work with IT team to automate receivables tracking and alerts
  • Strengthen internal controls to prevent revenue leakage and credit misuse
  • Implement system-driven credit controls

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to balance business growth with credit risk
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Branch teams
  • Ensure alignment of credit policies across all locations

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and credit control processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for collections
  • Skilled at managing sensitive customer interactions
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • High attention to detail and control mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (Finance) / B.Com
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit control / receivables management
  • Experience in logistics, courier, or B2B service industry preferred
