Job Title: Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst

Location: India or United States

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting of consumer credit data to major credit bureaus. The role focuses on data integrity, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and continuous improvement of reporting processes to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management

  • Collect, validate, and maintain accurate consumer credit data in line with internal policies and credit bureau requirements.
  • Ensure high data quality and integrity across reporting systems.

Credit Reporting

  • Prepare and submit periodic consumer credit reports to major credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax).
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and reporting timelines.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay current with applicable credit reporting laws and regulations, including FCRA.
  • Ensure reporting practices remain compliant with regulatory and bureau guidelines.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze credit data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through reporting insights.

Issue & Dispute Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies and errors.
  • Manage and respond to consumer disputes via the e-OSCAR platform within regulatory timelines.

Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams such as IT, Risk Management, and Customer Support to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support system and process enhancements for credit reporting.

Documentation

  • Maintain detailed documentation related to reporting processes, methodologies, audit trails, and compliance controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in U.S. credit bureau reporting, data analysis, or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience managing e-OSCAR disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of credit bureau reporting standards and regulatory requirements (FCRA).
  • Proficiency in data tools such as SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in U.S. consumer lending or credit risk management.
  • Familiarity with U.S. credit reporting systems and platforms.
  • Certification in Credit Risk Management or a related discipline.
