Role / Job Title: Credit Analyst - Corporate Coverage
Function/ Department: Wholesale Banking
Job Purpose: As a Credit Analyst in the Corporate Coverage team within Wholesale Banking, you will be responsible for conducting credit appraisals of large corporates and conglomerates (with turnover >250 Cr). Based in Delhi, this role involves preparing credit proposals, analyzing financials and industry trends, and supporting Relationship Managers in client engagement and portfolio management. You will play a key role in maintaining portfolio hygiene and ensuring timely credit approvals.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct credit appraisals by analyzing financial statements, industry trends, business risks, and market positioning.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals combining financial analysis and sector insights to support credit committee decisions.
- Liaise with Credit Risk and Compliance teams to secure internal approvals.
- Participate in Early Warning Signal (EWS) meetings and ensure appropriate responses and portfolio hygiene.
- Support Senior Relationship Managers in client meetings, internal presentations, and MIS preparation.
- Address legal, compliance, and audit-related aspects of credit proposals.
- Visit clients to strengthen business relationships and gather insights.
- Assist RMs/SRMs in preparing business/account plans and identifying target clients.
- Conduct plant visits, interact with clients and rating agencies, and maintain call reports.
- Analyze quarterly financials, stock statements, and audit reports to identify trends and deviations.
Education
- Graduation: Any graduate
- Post-graduation: Post graduation
Experience: Relevant experience in credit analysis, corporate banking, or financial services.
