Role Overview
The VP Credit will own the end-to-end credit function across Working Capital, Term Loans, Supply Chain Finance, Bill Discounting, and Structured Debt solutions.
The role is responsible for credit policy, underwriting governance, portfolio quality, and risk oversight, enabling sustainable growth within NBFC regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Own credit policies, risk appetite, and underwriting frameworks across lending products.
- Provide final approval / oversight on large, complex, and structured credit proposals.
- Manage portfolio performance including delinquencies, NPAs, vintage & concentration risk.
- Lead credit committees, risk reviews, and early warning mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience handling loan ticket sizes of 5 Cr and above.
- Structure and evaluate cash-flow based and collateral-backed lending solutions.
- Act as senior credit interface for banks, co-lenders, and institutional partners.
- Build and lead senior credit teams across underwriting & portfolio risk.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, KYC/AML, audits, and internal governance.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10-12 years of experience in SME / Mid-Market / Corporate Credit.
- Strong exposure to WC, TL, SCF, Bill Discounting & Structured Debt.
- Senior credit leadership experience in NBFC / Bank / Fintech lending.
- CA, or MBA (Finance) from a Tier-1 institute.
