This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to avid readers, writers, editors, and anyone with a sharp eye for what makes writing truly work. No publishing credits required — just a genuine passion for the craft and the ability to articulate what separates great writing from the forgettable kind.

What You'll Do
- Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres — fiction, poetry, personal essays, satire, and more
- Assess writing for quality, originality, voice, tone, coherence, and emotional resonance
- Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, tonal inconsistencies, and logical gaps
- Provide clear, constructive written feedback that helps AI systems produce more compelling and authentic writing
- Rate outputs using structured evaluation frameworks while adding nuanced qualitative commentary
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- A genuine lover of reading and writing — you have strong opinions about what good writing looks and feels like
- Able to evaluate writing quality across styles and genres with thoughtful, articulate feedback
- Strong command of English language, grammar, and style
- Comfortable working through substantial volumes of text with consistency and focus
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently
- No prior publishing, editing, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in creative writing, English literature, journalism, or communications
- Experience with editing, beta reading, or writing workshops
- Familiarity with a range of literary genres and styles
- Prior experience with content evaluation or quality assurance workflows
