About DROPZ
DROPZ is India's first true limited-edition platform, a culture-forward destination where every product drop is rare, intentional, and never restocked. We aren't just building a brand; we're building a platform that curates stories through exclusive in-house drops, creator collaborations, and collectible releases across fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. Every drop is a moment, but the platform is the big picture and our brand must ignite cultural hype.
As Creative Team Lead, you will own DROPZ's design-led creative direction, turning culture, scarcity, and storytelling into a distinctive visual identity that consistently ships at high velocity. This is a 0 to 100 role built for someone who thrives on pace, takes full accountability for outcomes, and builds a team culture that moves fast while protecting craft and brand consistency.
What You'll Do
You will own the creative design direction of DROPZ across brand identity, campaign systems, and every visual asset, ensuring our drops look unmistakably DROPZ and are engineered to create hype that converts.
Brand Identity and Visual Language
- Own DROPZ's visual identity across typography, color, layout systems, iconography, and graphic motifs, ensuring every output looks consistent, premium, and culturally current across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Build and maintain bulletproof brand guidelines, creative principles, and do and don't rules, so internal teams and collaborators can execute fast without diluting the DROPZ look.
- Create scalable design systems, asset kits, and template libraries for social, web, CRM, and commerce surfaces, ensuring speed increases without sacrificing taste or originality.
Drop Creative and Campaign Design
- Lead design concepting for every drop, translating product story and scarcity mechanics into campaign-ready key visuals, social carousels, posters, landing graphics, and launch assets built to stop scrolls and drive intent.
- Art-direct and design the full asset suite for drops, including teaser and launch phases, countdown and urgency moments, and post-drop community artifacts that keep hype alive after sellout windows.
- Design limited-edition packaging elements, merch inserts, and collectible brand artifacts that feel intentional and worth keeping, reinforcing DROPZ as a platform that curates moments, not just products.
Team Leadership and Quality Bar
- Build and run a tight in-house design team (graphic and visual designers, as needed for templated brand motion), setting briefs, timelines, and quality standards that ship weekly without excuses.
- Run structured critique and review cadences, giving crisp feedback, setting non-negotiable quality checks, and ensuring final outputs meet the DROPZ bar before anything goes live.
- Lead from the front by jumping in hands-on when needed, fixing compositions, tightening layouts, refining typography, and raising craft when speed pressures threaten quality.
Cross Functional Design Collaboration
- Partner daily with Growth, Product, Content, and Community to translate objectives into clear design briefs, aligning on priorities early so work is decisive, not reactive.
- Use performance signals to refine creative decisions, improving visual hooks, hierarchy, and clarity based on data like CTR, saves, shares, and community sentiment, then applying learnings into the next drop system.
- Maintain clean design operations with file structure, version control, naming conventions, and handoff checklists so teams can execute, iterate, and reuse assets without friction.
Who You Are
- You are startup-ready and thrive in a 0 to 100 environment, taking full ownership of the design output while building a team-first, low-friction culture that makes shipping fast sustainable.
- You have 3+ years of design experience with clear ownership of brand identity and campaign systems, with a portfolio that shows taste, consistency, and range across digital and physical design.
- You have strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy instincts, and you can turn a rough brief into a clean system that scales across formats without losing the core idea.
- You can set a visual direction and defend it with logic and taste, while staying open to feedback and iterating quickly when priorities or performance insights shift.
- You lead designers with clarity through structured briefs, actionable feedback, and strong standards, helping others level up rather than creating dependency or confusion.
- You understand design for conversion and attention, and you can craft scroll-stopping compositions that still feel premium and on-brand, not noisy or trend-chasing.
- You naturally stay ahead of culture, spotting aesthetics, references, and formats early, then translating them into original executions that feel DROPZ, not copied.
- You are organized in how you work, including templates, documentation, file hygiene, and predictable handoffs that keep velocity high across multiple stakeholders.
- You communicate clearly with Growth and Product partners, balancing creative ambition with practical constraints, and making decisions that protect both speed and quality.
- You want long-term ownership in what you build, you care about the brand as a living system, and you show up daily with intensity, accountability, and pride in craft.
