Job Description

Marketing & Brand Manager

About Surreal

Surreal creates experiences designed to be remembered — from large-scale installations and seasonal environments

to brand activations, entertainment experiences and public spaces.

Alongside our client work, we're also building our own experiences and IPs, including World of Christmas, as platforms

with the potential to grow into larger consumer-facing brands.

We're looking for someone to help shape how Surreal — and the brands we create — show up in the world.

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing & Brand Manager to own and grow Surreal's brand, content and communications, while

also driving the marketing of Surreal's own IPs and experiences.

You'll work closely with leadership, business development, design and project teams to turn what we create into

compelling stories — and make sure those stories reach the right clients, collaborators and audiences.

For our IPs, you'll help translate the experience itself into a brand people want to discover, engage with and return to.

This role sits between brand thinking, commercial thinking and hands-on execution.

What you'll be doing

Develop and drive Surreal's overall marketing and communications strategy and calendar.

Shape and maintain a strong, consistent Surreal brand across all channels.

Own content across LinkedIn, Instagram, the website and other relevant platforms.

Turn completed projects into compelling case studies and stories — from concept and making through to the final experience.

Work with project teams to identify and capture the right content during design, fabrication and installation.

Coordinate photographers, videographers, designers, agencies and other creative partners.

Manage and continually develop Surreal's website and project portfolio.

Develop credentials, presentations, case studies and market-specific collateral alongside Business Development.

Identify and manage relevant PR, editorial, award and industry opportunities.

Support exhibitions, international fairs, launches and major company announcements.

Develop and execute marketing strategies for Surreal-owned IPs, including World of Christmas.

Build seasonal campaign calendars across digital, social, PR and on-ground touchpoints for Surreal IPs.

Drive audience awareness, engagement and growth for the IPs.

Support ticketing/e-commerce, partnerships, sponsorships and other commercial initiatives from a marketing perspective.

Coordinate IP content, shoots, campaigns, creators/influencers, PR and external agencies.

Use performance insights to improve future campaigns, audience growth and brand development.

Help build Surreal's IPs as brands in their own right, not simply individual events.

What we're looking for

5–8 years experience across brand, marketing, communications or related creative roles.

Experience within experiential, creative/design, architecture, entertainment, lifestyle, retail or another visually driven business is strongly preferred.

Experience working across both B2B and consumer-facing brands would be a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of brand positioning, visual storytelling and integrated campaigns.

Excellent writing and communication skills.

Strong visual judgement and an eye for good creative work.

Experience managing content, social media, websites and external creative partners.

Ability to turn complex creative projects into simple, engaging stories.

Strong project-management skills and ability to take ideas from strategy through execution.

Comfortable working across multiple brands, campaigns and priorities.

Curious, proactive and genuinely interested in design, culture, experiences and consumer behaviour. This is not a purely digital/performance marketing role. We're looking for someone who understands how brands are

built — and is equally comfortable developing the thinking and making sure it gets executed.

In short: you make sure the work we create becomes the brand people know Surreal for — and that the experiences

we own become brands people actively want to be part of.

Ideal candidate profile

5–8 years experience with meaningful ownership of brand, content or communications.

Understands creative work, visual storytelling and how to build narratives around physical experiences/projects.

Can work across B2B corporate/studio marketing and B2C audience marketing.

Has created campaigns, case studies, websites/content, PR or award submissions rather than only managing media budgets.

Strong enough visually to brief and judge photography, film, design and social content.

Comfortable managing agencies/freelancers while remaining hands-on.

Commercially aware enough to connect brand activity with audience growth, ticketing/e-commerce, partnerships and sponsorships for IPs.

Proactive about spotting stories and content opportunities during the making of a project, not only after completion.

Priority talent pools

Experiential / brand experience / creative agencies.

Spatial design, retail design and visual merchandising studios.

Architecture, interior and multidisciplinary design practices.

Entertainment, festivals, attractions, museums and ticketed experience businesses.

Luxury, lifestyle and retail brands with strong experiential/brand functions.

Creative studios and culturally driven businesses with strong project storytelling.
