Job Description

About Us:

Experience Co. runs creator-led group travel across three brands — BHX (creative residency for women founders), Bucketlist (adventure travel), and creator editions hosted by creators like film critics, surf instructors, and coffee experts for their communities. 10–15 editions live at any given time. Destinations spanning Japan, Bali, Jordan, Thailand, Indonesia, and more.

The company is 24 people. The creative team is three — two designers and a video editor. They're good when they ship. The problem: they don't always ship. On time. On brief. Or at all.

So what is this role

Production management for creative. Not creative direction.

We have a brand voice doc that sets the standard. We have an AI bot that writes copy and reviews brand consistency. We have a social head who decides what content gets made and a growth lead who decides what the business needs.

What we don't have is someone making sure the design team's output actually matches what's been asked for, delivered on deadline, and not sitting in WIP for two weeks with no update.

That's the job. You are the reason things ship.

What AI-native means here

We use AI across the company. Copy generation, brand-voice QC, marketing prioritization. The creative producer role isn't exempt from this.

You should already be using AI to turn vague requests into structured briefs. To generate first-draft copy that you refine. To build checklists and SOPs faster than anyone could manually. To spot gaps in a production calendar before they become emergencies.

If AI isn't part of how you manage work today, you'll be behind from the first week.

What you'll do

Own the production calendar. One system (Airtable), every deliverable assigned, deadlined, and tracked. If it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist.Write and route briefs.

When a stakeholder says we need something for the Japan launch, you turn that into a brief a designer can start on without asking five follow-up questions. Format, deadline, specs, references, copy direction — all in the brief.

Run a 15-minute daily sync with the creative team. What shipped yesterday. What's shipping today. What's blocked. Every day. No exceptions.

QC before publish. Does it match the brief Does it feel like ExCo Is the copy on-brand You catch the problems before the audience does.

Manage distribution as a production task. WhatsApp blasts and email sends happen on schedule because you scheduled them, briefed the copy, and confirmed the send.

Flag capacity early. If the week's deliverables can't all ship, you say so on Monday — not Friday.

What you bring

You've managed a creative team's daily output. Even a small one. You know the difference between they're working on it and it'll be done by 3pm.

You have a system. Airtable, Notion, Asana, a spreadsheet — something. I keep it in my head is not a system.

You can write a brief. Not a creative manifesto. A brief. Clear enough that a designer can start without a 30-minute call.

You follow up without being asked. And you don't feel bad about it. The team will thank you later.

You already use AI in your workflow. For brief generation, status tracking, copy drafts, QC checklists — something tangible. Not I've been meaning to try ChatGPT.

What we don't care about

Whether you've worked at an agency or in-house. The context is different; the skill is the same.

A design portfolio. You're not designing. You're making sure designers have what they need and deliver what's expected.

A specific degree. Communications, management, film production, self-taught project manager — we care about the output, not the path.

How to apply

10-minute conversation with our AI screener. It asks real questions about how you manage work. No cover letters. No PDFs. If it's a good fit, you book a call with the team.
