About the role

As a Creative Lead Writer, you'll lead the transformation of long-form fiction into addictive, serialized audio stories for the US market.

This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, editorial leadership, and cultural adaptation. You'll take international source material and reshape it into stories that resonate deeply with US listeners while preserving the emotional core of the original narrative.

You'll also lead and mentor a team of writers, ensuring every episode delivers strong pacing, emotional intensity, and the kind of storytelling that keeps listeners coming back for the next episode.

What you'll actually do

Lead Romance & Romantasy show launches

• Launch and manage a strong portfolio of Romance, Drama, and Romantasy audio series for the US market.
• Ensure stories resonate emotionally with listeners while maintaining strong episode-to-episode retention.

Own story adaptation & localization

• Lead the adaptation of long-form fiction into serialized audio scripts.
• Ensure cultural localization feels natural for US audiences including dialogue style, character dynamics, and emotional tone.
• Strengthen core genre elements like romantic tension, character chemistry, emotional stakes, and dramatic cliffhangers.

Maintain a strong editorial pipeline

• Oversee a high-volume content pipeline of 4060+ chapters per week.
• Ensure narrative consistency, compelling character arcs, engaging dialogue, and strong emotional pacing.
• Maintain high storytelling standards across every stage of the writing process.

Lead and mentor writers

• Manage and guide a team of writers working on serialized content.
• Provide structured feedback to improve emotional storytelling, pacing, and genre authenticity.
• Help writers elevate the quality of romance and romantasy storytelling while maintaining consistency across shows.

You'll thrive here if you

• Have 6+ years of experience in fiction writing or editorial roles
• Have 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring writers
• Deeply understand Romance, Drama, and Romantasy storytelling
• Have strong instincts for character-driven narratives and emotional arcs
• Understand US audience preferences and cultural context
• Have experience adapting web novels, self-published books, or comics into serialized storytelling
• Are comfortable working with tech-enabled creative tools and systems
• Can manage high-volume storytelling pipelines while maintaining quality
