Role Overview
We are looking for a Creative Lead - Design & Strategy who can create, drive, and execute strategy, not just visuals. This is not an execution-only role. We are looking for someone who understands why a design exists, what business problem it solves, and how it supports brand, marketing, and growth objectives.
This is a lead-level role for a senior designer who has spent years in an agency environment and is ready to own both design and visual strategy end-to-end.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Co-creating and shaping creative and visual strategy for brands and campaigns
- Translating brand, marketing, and communication strategy into scalable design systems
- Leading creative thinking, ideation, and strategic direction, not just following briefs
- Ensuring design output supports reach, recall, engagement, and brand positioning
- You will work closely with strategy, content, PR, and account teams and play a key role in defining how brands think, communicate, and show up visually across platforms.
Strategic Design Leadership
- Actively contribute to and help create brand and campaign strategy, not just execute it
- Own and drive the visual and creative strategy across multiple client accounts
- Translate brand positioning, audience insights, and business objectives into strong visual direction
- Participate in ideation, planning, and strategy discussions from the start—not only execution stages
- Question and refine briefs to ensure creative solutions are strategically sound, effective, and measurable
- Build scalable visual systems, design frameworks, and brand guidelines that maintain consistency across platforms
Creative Direction & Execution
- Lead the design of high-quality assets across digital and print (social media, campaigns, ads, presentations, brand collaterals)
- Oversee illustration, typography, layout, and overall visual storytelling
- Ensure all creative output meets brand standards, platform relevance, and quality benchmarks
- Maintain and evolve design templates and asset libraries
Team & Cross-functional Leadership
- Guide and mentor junior and mid-level designers
- Collaborate closely with content writers, strategists, PR managers, and account leads to shape ideas and narratives
- Provide clear creative direction and feedback to elevate overall output
- Manage design workflows, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
Process, Ownership & Quality Control
- Track assignments and deliverables across internal systems
- Maintain proper archiving of design assets for reuse and scalability
- Review, refine, and approve creatives before client delivery
- Coordinate with print vendors and oversee proofing where required
Skills & Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in a creative or marketing agency.
- Proven experience in a lead or senior design role with strategic ownership.
- Strong understanding of branding, visual identity, campaign thinking, and strategy-led design.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Ability to connect design and creative strategy with marketing and business outcomes.
- Experience designing for digital-first brands and social platforms.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of motion graphics / video tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Experience with print production, vendor coordination, and press checks.
- Exposure to 3D or advanced design tools.
