ABOUT THE ROLE
We're building the new Kiran Jewels India website as a flagship interactive experience — real-time 3D, cinematic scroll, custom shaders. The kind of site that makes you forget you're in a browser, applied to a luxury jewellery house.
This is a build-only role. A designer art-directs the feel and hands you visuals, motion and 3D scenes; you turn them into a fast, flawless, interactive site in Three.js / WebGL.
THE BAR WE'RE AIMING FOR
Award-tier interactive web — real-time 3D, custom shaders, cinematic scroll, particle systems. A flagship experience, not a templated corporate site. If that's what you want to build, read on.
THE PROJECT
- Build the KJI website — real-time 3D, scroll-driven, shader-rich, a steady 60fps
- Project-based, paid, on-site in Mumbai
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build immersive, real-time 3D web experiences in Three.js / WebGL
- Write custom GLSL shaders — dissolves, chromatic aberration, displacement, glitch, refraction
- Build particle systems and GPU-driven effects (morphing point clouds, fluid-like motion)
- Orchestrate scroll-driven cinematic camera journeys and scene transitions
- Implement buttery smooth / inertia scrolling and GSAP-timed motion
- Add post-processing (bloom, depth of field, chromatic aberration, grain)
- Integrate 3D assets (Blender / glTF) and optimise them for the web
- Obsess over performance — draw calls, shader precompile, texture/geometry loading, preloaders
- Ship it — deployed, production-grade, fast on real devices
MUST HAVE
- Three.js / WebGL — proven, you've shipped real interactive 3D (not just tutorials)
- GLSL — comfortable writing your own vertex / fragment shaders
- React (and/or React Three Fiber) — clean, component-driven front-end
- Modern front-end — JS / TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Motion — GSAP, timeline orchestration, easing, smooth scroll (Lenis or similar)
- Real performance instincts — hitting 60fps and fast loads on mid-range devices
- Ability to translate a designer's art direction precisely into code
- Git discipline; can deploy and ship
NICE TO HAVE
- WebGL-rendered UI / SDF text effects, letter-scramble, text glitches
- Particle / fluid simulations, instancing, custom geometry
- React Three Fiber + drei, postprocessing library
- glTF / Draco / KTX2 optimisation, custom asset pipelines
- WebGPU curiosity
- Live, award-worthy interactive sites in your portfolio
