About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Creative Director & Brand Manager who can wear three hats:
hands-on designer, strategic creative leader, and brand custodian. This is a role for someone who can move fluidly between designing a campaign asset personally and directing a team to execute a multi-channel brand vision - someone equally comfortable in Figma/Canva/Adobe Creative Suite and in a boardroom presenting brand strategy to leadership.
You will own the visual and verbal identity of the brand end-to-end: setting creative direction,
managing brand consistency across all touchpoints, mentoring designers, and ensuring every piece of creative work — from social posts to packaging to campaigns — ladders up to a cohesive brand story.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction
Define and evolve the overall creative vision and visual language of the brand across all
platforms (digital, print, packaging, retail, social, video).
Lead brainstorming and concept development for campaigns, launches, and brand
initiatives.
Review and approve creative output from designers, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring
quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
Translate business and marketing objectives into compelling creative briefs and
concepts.
Stay ahead of design trends, cultural shifts, and competitor activity to keep the brand
distinctive and relevant.
Hands-on Design
Personally design high-impact assets when needed — key visuals, campaign hero
pieces, pitch decks, packaging, or flagship content.
Set design standards, templates, and systems (typography, color, layout, iconography)
that scale across the team.
Ensure design excellence across digital (web, app, social) and offline (print, OOH,
events) formats.
Brand Management
Own and evolve brand guidelines — visual identity, tone of voice, messaging
architecture.
Act as the final gatekeeper for brand consistency across marketing, sales, product, and
partner-facing materials.
Partner with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure brand positioning is
reflected across the customer journey.
Conduct periodic brand audits and competitive benchmarking; recommend refreshes or
repositioning where needed.
Manage brand assets, style guides, and creative libraries for internal and external
stakeholders.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers, illustrators, and/or junior creatives.
Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, photographers, and
production vendors.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and content teams to align creative output
with campaign calendars and business goals.
Present creative concepts and brand strategy to senior leadership and stakeholders with
clear rationale.
Manage creative timelines, priorities, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects.
What We're Looking For
Experience
3-5+ years of experience in design, creative direction, or brand management, with at
least 2–3 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven portfolio showcasing brand identity work, campaign creative, and cross-channel
design (digital + print).
Experience managing or mentoring a creative team, and working directly with senior
leadership/stakeholders.
Background in agency, in-house brand team, or a mix of both preferred.
Skills
Expert-level proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator,
Canva, InDesign; Figma; After Effects a plus).
Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, and identity systems — not just
visual execution.
Excellent typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
Strong presentation and communication skills — able to articulate creative rationale to
non-creative stakeholders.
Project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple briefs, deadlines, and vendors
simultaneously.
Bonus: motion design, video editing, or photography/art direction experience.
Traits
A strategic thinker who can also execute — equally comfortable in the weeds and in the
big picture.
Strong taste level with the ability to defend creative decisions with logic and business
context.
Collaborative leadership style; able to give and receive feedback constructively.
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
