Role Description The Creative Development Associate – Films, is a full-time, on-site role. This role involves working in the Films team and supporting the development of film projects, including sourcing and evaluating scripts, treatments, and story ideas. The Associate will need to work closely with writers, filmmakers and the in-house creative team in the ideating, sourcing and development of film scripts. In addition, the Associate will have to prepare/present film pitches, pitch decks and visual presentations, conduct research on themes, characters, and relevant markets, and collaborate with writers, directors, and internal teams consistently on creative feedback.

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience in creative development at a production house/studio/platform.
• The ability to effectively communicate, interact and collaborate with creative talent and internal stakeholders and colleagues.
• A voracious appetite for reading scripts, books, and consuming cinema.
• Expert level in written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to present creative ideas and film pitches effectively.
• Creativity Skills and branding capabilities to help shape the visual and narrative identity of film projects.
• Demonstrated interest in films, storytelling, with strong awareness of contemporary content trends.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced production environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Basic design and presentation skills (Adobe/Canva etc) to support the creation of pitch materials, visual references, and project presentations.
• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Design, Communications, or a related field preferred, and equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in creative development is a must.
• A degree in filmmaking and /or writing is helpful, but not necessary.
• The applicant should be based in Mumbai and be able to work full-time.
