Job Description

We're hiring a Creative Copywriter.

This is not a content writing role. We need someone who can think in concepts, write film scripts, build deck narratives, and shape brand language — across three very different verticals.

The work spans our feeding programmes (we serve lakhs of meals daily across Telangana and AP), Basil Woods Schools, and the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower project.

What You'll Do

Conceptualisation & Creative Strategy

•     Lead ideation for campaigns, content series, and communication initiatives across all three verticals

•     Develop creative concepts end-to-end — from the initial idea through to execution brief

•     Shape the content calendar and editorial direction, ensuring every output connects to a larger narrative

•     Bring strategic thinking to briefs — asking the right questions before putting pen to paper

Brand Copy & Messaging

•     Develop and steward brand voice, tone, and messaging frameworks for HKMCF, Basil Woods, and Heritage Tower

•     Write copy for websites, brochures, fundraising materials, campaigns, and institutional communications

•     Craft taglines, headlines, manifestos, and brand statements that carry clarity and resonance

•     Translate complex programme information into narratives that move people to act

Film Scripts & Video Content

•     Write scripts for documentary films, impact stories, institutional films, campaign videos, and social content

•     Develop treatments, narrative arcs, and interview frameworks that give productions a clear creative spine

•     Collaborate with the video team from concept through to final cut — not just as a brief-giver, but as a creative partner

•     Write voiceovers, on-screen text, and subtitles with precision and rhythm

Decks & Presentations

•     Build the narrative structure for pitch decks, donor presentations, government proposals, and programme showcases

•     Know when to lead with data, when to lead with story, and when a single image does more than a paragraph

•     Work alongside designers so that copy and layout are inseparable — not retrofitted to each other

Social & Digital Content

•     Write platform-native content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube with voice and intention

•     Develop captions, carousels, campaign posts, and Reel scripts that are purposeful and shareable

•     Maintain content consistency across verticals while adapting tone for each brand's distinct audience

Who You Are

Essential

•     3–6 years of professional experience in copywriting, creative communications, or content strategy

•     A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking — not just execution

•     Background in filmmaking, advertising, graphic design, or visual communication — formal or demonstrable

•     Strong command of written English with the ability to write across registers — institutional, emotional, and conversational

•     Experience writing film scripts, brand copy, and presentation narratives

•     Someone who can own a content direction, not just respond to requests

Preferred

•     Prior experience in NGO, education, or social impact communications

•     Ability to write in Telugu or Hindi — useful for bilingual content across both states

•     Familiarity with AI writing tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper, or similar) used with editorial judgment

•     Experience collaborating in an integrated creative team with designers and video producers
