Role Description

The CPL Ground Instructor is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi.

In this role, the instructor delivers classroom-based ground training for Commercial Pilot License (CPL) students, covering core subjects such as air regulations, navigation, meteorology, principles of flight, and technical general.

The instructor prepares lesson plans, presentations, and training materials aligned with regulatory requirements and academy standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting lectures, leading discussions, clarifying complex concepts, and providing individual academic support to students.

The CPL Ground Instructor also evaluates student performance through tests and assignments, maintains training records, coordinates with flight instructors and admin staff, and contributes to continuous improvement of the training curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Strong theoretical knowledge of CPL ground subjects, including air regulations, navigation, meteorology, principles of flight, and technical general.
  • Proven classroom teaching or training experience, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered, inclusive approach to instruction.
  • Ability to create structured lesson plans, develop learning materials, and use modern teaching tools and digital platforms effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, punctuality, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple batches and maintain accurate records.
  • Current or prior CPL, ATPL, Flight Instructor, or Ground Instructor certification, or equivalent aviation qualification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with DGCA or other relevant aviation authority regulations and examination standards (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, aerospace, science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical aviation experience.
