Job Description

Key Responsibilities -

Covenant & Trigger Monitoring & Oversight

  • Lead end-to-end covenant and trigger monitoring across multiple portfolios or clients.
  • Review and validate extraction of covenants, trigger clauses, and key terms from complex credit agreements and amendments.
  • Oversee periodic testing of financial covenants and trigger events, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure adherence to covenant calendars, reporting timelines, and client-specific requirements. Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Perform detailed review and quality checks of covenant testing outputs and team deliverables.
  • Identify and escalate covenant breaches, trigger events, and emerging credit risks with strong analytical insights.
  • Drive consistency in interpretation of covenants and standardization of methodologies across the team. Financial Analysis & Decision Support
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis, including validation of complex ratios (DSCR, leverage, coverage).
  • Provide insights on borrower performance, trend analysis, and risk indicators to support credit decision-making. Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead discussions on covenant interpretations, discrepancies, and process improvements.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction through timely delivery, responsiveness, and quality outputs. Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts; support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Allocate work, manage bandwidth, and ensure effective team utilization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous learning. Process Excellence & Automation
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization across engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency using tools such as Excel VBA, Power BI, or internal systems.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and internal control frameworks.

Core Competencies Required Qualifications

  • Post Graduation/ MBA in Finance domain. CA/CFA preferred
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking domain
  • Strong Accounting and financial skills Good MS Office Skills
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
