Role Description

Polytech is going through an exciting development, within which we want to strengthen our global footprint via creation of a new subsidiary in Chennai, India.

To further strengthen our longstanding involvement in the Indian wind market, with focus on domestic as well as export business, we are seeking to attract a strong commercial profile to further solidify our share of wallet with major domestic and international clients. Polytech will value a profile with strong commercial and business acumen, which in addition also requires a strong technical knowledge of wind turbines and their technical components

The Country Sales Head will oversee the sales operations for Polytech in India, driving growth and building partnerships within the wind energy sector. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and includes developing and managing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, leading a local sales team, and identifying growth opportunities for Polytech's innovative product portfolio. The position will also involve managing client accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction while contributing to the company's mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions.

In coordination with your direct manager, you will work closely together with our business line leaders within BMO (Digitial Blade Monitoring), TTP (Transport, Track and Protect), LEP (Leading Edge Protection), LPS (Lightning Protection Systems), PSC (Performance Structural Components) and Aftermarket Services on both strategic and tactical execution plans. The business line leaders are located in our HQ in Bramming, Denmark and partly in our office in Shanghai, China. At this time Polytech serves a wide range of Indian and foreign OEM's in the Indian market and sees great growth trajectory and business opportunities arising from the positive development of the Indian wind market. Area of Expertise

  • Act as Polytech India Commercial Director, including responsibility for the associated statutory enterprise obligations in the fields of Finance, Legal, EHS and Quality.
  • Support the Polytech project team with relevant tasks associated with establishment of Polytech India – in coordination with Polytech project team.
  • Commercial stakeholder management across existing and new clients in India – in coordination with Polytech business lines and your designated line manager
  • Maintain, develop and expand business volumes with existing and new clients in India – in coordination with all Polytech business lines.
  • Ensure high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Continuously monitor market developments across all business areas
  • Initiate new leads, and generate and provide quotations and solutions for the customers
  • Maintain pipeline overview in CRM-system
  • Prepare, negotiate, and close contracts and sales agreements
  • Monthly reporting
  • Prepare for and participate at wind industry conferences and exhibitions
  • Prepare and conduct information sessions and webinars to larger audiences

Qualifications

13+ years of sales experience within the wind industry in India and beyond

Bachelor degree in either engineering and/or business management

Strong technical understanding of wind turbines and its sub-components

Profound understanding of wind energy markets – India and beyond

Excellent networking capabilities within the wind industry

Commercial background from international companies

Negotiation and high proficiency in English, spoken and written

Skilled in using presentation tools and media for virtual training, conferences, webinars, and sales pitches

High degree of cultural awareness
