This Position reports to:
Global HR Manager & Country HR LeadYour role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve occupational health and hygiene performance at the Bangalore location by providing medical, occupational health, and hygiene skills. You will support the business by applying your knowledge to promote employee wellbeing, manage health risks, and ensure compliance with ABB standards and local regulations. You will also contribute to effective risk management across the ABB value chain.
The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite
This role contributes to the Bangalore Peenya location and serves as the Country Coordinator for Occupational Health (OH) activities. The main stakeholders include Country HSE teams, site management, HR, employees, and external occupational health service providers
You will be mainly accountable for:
Investigating and reporting occupational health incidents and supporting corrective and preventive actions
Facilitating and supporting incident investigations to identify root causes and reduce health risks
Providing guidance, lessons learned, and best practices to management and employees
Tracking and reporting progress against occupational health and hygiene objectives and KPIs

Qualifications for the role
AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) certification
4-6 years of experience in occupational health management within industrial or manufacturing environments
MBBS from a recognized medical institution
Solid knowledge of Indian occupational health legislation, including the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code
Experience in health surveillance, medical examinations, and workplace health risk assessments
Good understanding of occupational hygiene, ergonomics, and health monitoring practices
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English (spoken and written) knowledge of local languages
