About Our Client

A fast-growing, tech-driven company is seeking a dynamic Country Manager – India to lead operations, drive business growth, and spearhead market development efforts across the region. This role involves overseeing strategic planning, sales, operations, and cross-functional team leadership to scale the business in alignment with global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the country-specific business strategy aligned with the company's global vision, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation.

Sales & Market Development

  • Lead and grow the sales function through effective multi-channel strategies (e-commerce, retail, distribution, operators).
  • Manage relationships with key partners, distributors, and resellers.
  • Set and monitor KPIs, sales targets, and implement performance-improvement strategies.
  • Identify and enter new market segments to expand customer reach.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage supply chain and logistics within India for seamless product delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, clients, and partners to optimize profitability.

Customer Engagement

  • Foster strong customer relationships and gather insights to enhance products and services.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create impactful campaigns and elevate brand visibility.
  • Lead customer acquisition and retention efforts to improve satisfaction and market NPS scores.

Product Development

  • Work with Product and R&D teams to align offerings with market demands and pricing strategies.
  • Support go-to-market processes and product performance evaluations.

Financial Management

  • Oversee the country P&L, ensuring efficient budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and report on profitability and optimization opportunities.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team (sales, technical, marketing, operations).
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement career development initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance

  • Ensure operations comply with local regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor legislative changes and proactively manage risks.
  • Represent the company in industry events and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA is a plus, but not required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in technology leadership roles (e.g., Product Management, IT Director, General Manager).
  • Proven track record in scaling tech-focused businesses in India.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with a hands-on and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of Gaming and PC hardware technologies is highly valued.

Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and financial acumen (e.g., P&L, CAC, gross margin).
  • Proficiency in go-to-market planning and execution.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
  • Fluency in English and a local language.
