Job Title: Country Manager
Position Overview
The Country Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of study abroad business
operations in a given country, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and growth strategies. This
role requires strategic leadership in market development, team management, partnership building, and
operational efficiency within the study abroad sector
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and implement business strategies to expand and position study abroad services in the local
market.
● Oversee daily operations, ensuring the achievement of revenue, quality, and customer satisfaction
targets.
● Recruit, train, and manage a team of study abroad consultants and account managers, monitoring
their performance and client service.
● Engage with overseas educational institutions to foster partnerships and strengthen program
offerings.
● Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and adapt business plans to maximize
growth opportunities.
● Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, educational partners, government agencies,
and relevant stakeholders.
● Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to headquarters, ensuring
accountability for financial and operational results.
● Address escalated client complaints and coordinate resolutions for service-related issues.
● Represent the organization at industry events, seminars, and meetings, promoting a positive brand
image.
● Participate in strategic management meetings and contribute to global planning.
Qualifications & Skills
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, international relations, education
management, or related fields.
● 7-12 years experience in managerial roles, ideally within international education, recruitment, or
consulting.
● Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and people management capabilities.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills, with intercultural sensitivity.
● Familiarity with study abroad admission processes, student onboarding, and local market trends.
● Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
● Willingness to travel, work independently, and adapt to new cultures and regulations.
Additional Requirements
● Fluency in English; additional local or foreign languages are an asset.
● Experience living, studying, or working abroad preferred.
● Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and customer service at all times.
