Department:
The Counterparty Onboarding team sits within the global COO team, which oversees Brevan Howard's trading operations. The team serves as the central liaison between internal departments—including Legal, Tax, Risk and Compliance—and the firm's external counterparties. It facilitates trading relationships across Brevan Howard's funds, enabling each fund to execute its trading strategy effectively.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
The counterparty team are seeking a proactive individual to join the team to assist with their day-to-day operations. The role involves engaging with senior stakeholders to implement and manage the priorities of the business, from a counterparty onboarding perspective, alongside driving progress in BAU tasks.
Candidates should have a strong interest in the area, with an understanding of how the industry operates. The counterparty onboarding role involves daily interaction with external financial institutions, acting as a first point of contact and representative for Brevan Howard, they therefore will need to have excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
The selected individual will need to be adaptable with an eagerness to learn. Candidates should possess unwavering attention to detail, an excellent level of literacy and numeracy with the ability to remain calm and confident under pressure. Candidates need to have strong time and task management skills with the ability to react swiftly to the fast and ever-changing environment the business operates within.
Candidates should feel comfortable managing multiple lines of communication, working with multiple counterparties concurrently under time pressure to set up accounts and trading facilities. Serving as a visible, approachable and accountable contact point within the business for counterparty onboarding is central to this role.

Office based role, 5 days per week.
Standardhours will be 8.00am to 6pm with other such hours as are necessary to fulfil the role, some flexibility required.
