Role Description The CostX Trainer will deliver engaging, structured online sessions on CostX for civil engineering students and professionals, focusing on practical, industry-relevant applications. This part-time, remote role includes preparing training materials, creating examples and case studies, and demonstrating CostX features such as quantity take-off, estimating, and reporting. The trainer will guide learners through live or recorded sessions, address questions, and provide feedback on exercises and assessments. Responsibilities also include updating course content based on software changes and industry trends, collaborating with the Protrainy team to enhance the training experience, and supporting participants in preparing for real-world project environments.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CostX for quantity take-off, estimation, and reporting in civil or construction projects.
- Practical civil engineering or construction management experience, preferably involving cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and project budgeting.
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and learning platforms, with the ability to deliver clear, interactive remote sessions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and explanation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse learners.
- Prior experience in training, mentoring, or teaching (online or classroom) is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability in meeting schedules, and comfort working independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with related industry software (e.g., ETABS, PRIMAVERA, AUTODESK REVIT, or other estimation tools) is an advantage.
