Founder's Office- Cost Governance Manager
Primary Responsibility
Assess and conduct postmortem of actual expenses on daily basis for all costs, especially project cost.
Other Responsibilities
- Will monitor the company expenditure on projects, with focus on project cost analysis
- Daily expense assessment and postmortem analysis for all outgoing costs
- Cost variance reporting, compliance checks, expense validation
- Prepare and manage project-wise and company-wide budgets, including office overheads
- Monitor project expenditure and overall company costs against approved budgets
- Track daily expenses and perform detailed variance analysis (actual vs budget)
- Conduct project cost analysis and post-completion (postmortem) reviews
- Identify and mitigate cost risks and implement control measures
- Ensure accurate cost allocation across materials, labour, and overheads
- Validate and approve all expenses, bills, and compliance checks
- Optimize resource utilization and vendor costs for better efficiency
- Generate MIS reports and dashboards for management decision-making
- Support forecasting, profitability analysis, and long-term financial planning
Educational Background
- BE/BTech (Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
- M.tech Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
Experience
- 8–12 years in construction cost control/quantity surveying
Key Requirements
- Vendor Network: Strong connections with industry benchmarks
- Technical Expertise: Daily expense assessment, BOQ validation, material reconciliation
- Industry Exposure: Construction industry experience Must -in project costing or quantity surveying
Tools/Systems: Advanced Excel, ERP modules, tools for expense analysis
Budget Managed: Monitors 100% of company spend on Projects
Site Visits Required: 40-50% (for physical verification of expenses)
Key Deliverables: Daily expense reports, Postmortem analysis documents, Budget vs Actual
Compliance Focus: Expense legitimacy verification, Policy adherence checking
