Your duties and job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :
- Our costs for all tenders/bids that our company participates is to ensure competitiveness.
- Maintain a depository of cost database and invite offers for high value projects to arrive at the lowest cost to be passed on to sales for pricing.
- Maintain a regular relationship with the supply chain of all levels and establish rate contracts for key supply components.
- Liaison with Procurement team to enable the placements of PO s at post award stage.
- Assist the procurement department in enabling adequate distribution of workload amongst suppliers thereby ensuring regular engagement and timely deliveries to all customers.
- Establish strong market network through suppliers for market intelligence on prevailing equipment cost, commercial terms and deliveries.
- Network with suppliers and trends of buying by customers to setup the cost bench market from past bids to arrive at the winning costs and capture market in chosen area of business.
- Advise setting up of cost structure to streamline product business by integrating new suppliers into the company who will provide cutting edge costs and expedited deliveries.
- Overall, in charge of all material costs for pre and post award stage and maintain the companys competitiveness in the long run.
