Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Cost & Estimation Engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical estimation, costing, BOQ preparation and tendering for MEP, electrical infrastructure and EPC projects.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analysing drawings and tender documents, carrying out quantity take-offs, evaluating material and labour costs, and supporting techno-commercial proposals.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical project estimates, cost sheets and techno-commercial proposals.
- Study and analyse tender documents, electrical drawings, specifications, BOQ and scope of work.
- Perform detailed quantity take-off from electrical drawings and project specifications.
- Prepare and review BOQ/BOM for electrical works.
- Estimate quantities and costs for HT/LT electrical systems, power distribution and electrical infrastructure.
- Prepare estimation for HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, cables, bus ducts, cable trays, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Estimate electrical works related to lighting, power distribution, ELV and other MEP services as required.
- Calculate material, labour, installation, testing & commissioning costs.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Conduct vendor quotation comparison, rate analysis and market rate evaluation.
- Prepare detailed Rate Analysis (RA) for electrical materials and installation activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and prepare value engineering options.
- Support preparation of tender submissions, commercial bids and technical-commercial documents.
- Review project scope, identify exclusions, deviations and potential cost implications.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, project execution and commercial teams for estimation inputs.
- Prepare revised estimates based on design changes, client requirements and project variations.
- Maintain estimation databases, material rate records and historical project costing data.
- Assist in evaluating project profitability, budget requirements and cost variance.
- Ensure estimates are technically accurate and commercially competitive.

Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
