Cost Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer with 10-15 years of experience to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing cost estimates for various projects, monitoring expenditures, and providing financial insights to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost estimates for projects
• Monitor project costs and expenditures
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project feasibility
• Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to management
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial proposals for new projects
• Evaluate bids and quotations from suppliers and contractors

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• 10-15 years of experience in cost engineering or project cost management
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of construction processes and materials
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
