Job Description

COST CONTROLLER / ENGINEER

Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering or Finance.

5+ years of Costing / budgeting / Cost Monitoring for SHUTDOWN / TURNAROUND.

 Budgeting & Estimation: Developing detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS) based on scope, labor, materials, and equipment.

 Cost Monitoring & Tracking: Capturing actual costs incurred during the shutdown, including material consumption, manpower, and subcontractor work.

 Variance Analysis: Identifying discrepancies between planned and actual costs and recommending corrective actions, especially during high-pressure, short-duration shutdowns.

 Change Management: Evaluating cost variations, change orders, and subcontractor claims, ensuring all changes are approved within the commercial framework.

 Reporting: Preparing regular cost control reports, including daily/weekly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final closing reports with lessons learned.

 Invoicing and Procurement: Reviewing subcontractor and supplier invoices and payment certificates for accuracy.
