Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis & Optimization
- Apply Cost Analysis and Optimization (CAO), Supply Chain Productivity Improvement (SPI), and Design-to-Cost (DtC) methods across the product lifecycle.
- Compile feasible component costs for bottom-up target indication and cost split.
- Propose alternative manufacturing scenarios and quantify potential savings for Procurement and cross-functional teams.
Design to Cost & Standardization
- Calculate baseline costs and update component costs according to design maturity.
- Challenge requirements and propose DtC measures to R&D, product management, and procurement.
- Quantify the financial impact of proposed cost-saving measures.
Supply Chain Productivity Improvement (SPI)
- Generate transparency in supplier processes, technologies, and costs.
- Identify improvement potentials and support supplier negotiations.
- Coach suppliers on lean and technology-driven supply chain optimization.
Cost & Value Models
- Establish and maintain cost and value models, design rules, and benchmark data.
- Ensure alignment with production processes, equipment, and supplier costs.
Digitalization & Automation
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality of cost analyses.
- Manage CVE-related applications and dashboards for smart, rapid calculations and reporting.
- Act as the primary contact for CVE software for colleagues and software providers.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, product management, Procurement) and global CVE networks.
- Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
- Stay updated on new software solutions, AI, and machine learning applications relevant to CVE.
Competencies & Skills:
- Expertise in cost modeling, production technology, and supply chain optimization.
- Proficient in MS Office and product cost management tools such as TCPM or TSET.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, big data analytics, and AI/ML is a plus.
- Strong intercultural communication and presentation skills (English).
- Ability to manage and lead cross-functional and global teams.
