Job Summary
The Cost & Estimation Manager will be responsible for complete cost management, estimation, and budgeting activities for pre-tender and post-tender stages across government and private projects. The role includes handling multiple projects, managing the estimation team, and supporting EPC, contract, and execution teams with accurate cost planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
Pre & Post Tendering
- Handle pre-tender and post-tender activities for government and private projects.
- Prepare and review tender estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and cost comparisons.
- Assist in bid analysis, negotiations, and finalization of contracts.
- Support EPC tendering, budgeting, and costing activities (preferred).
Team & Project Management
- Lead and manage the estimation team for multiple ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Ensure adherence to company estimation standards, formats, and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth tender and execution handover.
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare initial budgets, block estimates, and detailed estimates.
- Prepare BBS, MTO, BOQs, and detailed quantity take-offs.
- Conduct rate analysis considering current market rates.
- Monitor and validate material reconciliation data from sites.
Technical Review & Coordination
- Study and interpret GFC drawings, specifications, and consultant inputs.
- Coordinate with GM, site teams, consultants, and EPC teams for drawings and detailing.
- Interact with clients to discuss scope, costing assumptions, and estimation methodology.
Government Projects & Compliance
- Hands-on experience in PWD / CPWD / Corporation / NHM projects.
- Review and apply DSR, Schedule of Rates, and government norms.
- Assist in technical sanctions, DTP approvals, and government documentation.
Required Experience
- Experience in both Government & Private construction projects.
- EPC project experience preferred.
- Proven exposure to pre-tender and post-tender cost management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract support.
- Leadership skills to manage and mentor estimation teams.
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards and statutory requirements.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 812 years of relevant experience (flexible based on project exposure)
