HIRING COST ACCOUNTANT FROM MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
As a cost accountant, you will collect, analyse, and report on cost accounting data.
Objectives of this role
- Create a system to precisely calculate the activity rate for both standard and actual costing.
- Develop strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing
- Prepare product cost reports by collecting information and data points from various departments within the organisation.
- Investigate discrepancies in product costing and perform PEC (period-end close) activities, including settlement of Internal & maintenance order.
- Conduct regular variance analysis, to accounting practices and ensure compliance with the standard cost.
Your tasks
- Examine costs of production to determine the most efficient methods of production.
- Ensure accurate classification of expenses for conversion cost calculation.
- Research material costs to ensure the accuracy of RM consumption in accounting system.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard prices to actual production costs.
- Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.(value)
- Monitor the accumulation of all direct labour, overhead and other manufacturing-related expenses.
- Work closely with other SAP modules to ensure seamless integration.
- Proven ability to analyse business requirements and help in effective SAP CO solutions.
- Atomisation of CO related process for faster & accurate data.
Required skills and qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in finance or commerce with a specialisation in Costing
- 3+ years of experience in the accountancy field or an equivalent role.
- Proficiency in accounting software like Excel, word, PPT and well-acquainted with SAP S4HANA.
- Exceptional ability to think critically and make decisions based on data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in discussing Costing reports with company stakeholders.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Cost Accountant.
- Strong understanding of SAP CO modules and their integration with other SAP modules.
- Passion for numbers and competence in assessing larger datasets.
- Aptitude for mathematics, statistics, and various cost analysis techniques.
- Unswerving critical, analytical, and interpretation capabilities.
- Willingness to work in a team or individually, as required.
