COST ACCOUNTANT

1. Educational /Licensure:
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
3. Professional Experience:

       2 years of Cost Accounting work experience

     Specialized knowledge:

1. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
2. Experience with accounting software, like FreshBooks and Zoho
3. Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
4. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
5. Strong time management skills
6. Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

2. Build updated databases and manage cost information to maximize profitability for the company.
3. Duties and Responsibilities:
4. Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
5. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
6. Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
7. Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
8. Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.
9. Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
10. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
11. Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
