Job Description

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Costing & Product Cost Analysis
  • Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads.
  • Analyze product margins, cost trends, and cost of goods manufactured.
  • Provide costing support for new products, engineering changes, and pricing scenarios.
  • Inventory & Variance Analysis
  • Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation.
  • Analyze PPV, MUV, yield variances, labor efficiency, absorption variances, and overhead variances.
  • Monitor inventory aging, scrap trends, and obsolescence provisions.
  • Validate cycle count audits and drive annual physical inventory verification.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and financial analysis for management.
  • Support monthly closing activities (accruals, adjustments, journal entries).
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, SOX compliances and company policies.
  • Ensure cost records comply with statutory requirements (Cost Audit, Cost Accounting Standards).
  • Ensure accuracy of cost-related general ledger accounts and support audits (internal/external).
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Drive annual cost budgeting, standard cost roll-up, and forecast updates for plant operations.
  • Support savings tracking for cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Operations Support
  • Work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and sales to provide timely and accurate cost information.
  • Support lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives with cost impact evaluations.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce with Company Secretary qualification is a must.
  • 810 years of experience in cost accounting or plant finance (manufacturing preferred).

Skills


  • Professional certification preferred: CMA / ICWA or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOM, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (MFGPRO/QAD).
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
