Cost Accountant (1 Year Contract) | Global Semiconductor

A global multinational semiconductor company is seeking a Cost Accountant (1 year contract) to support manufacturing finance operations and strengthen cost control processes within its Singapore finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory valuation, production cost tracking, and financial reporting.

As a Cost Accountant, you will work closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support month-end closing activities, analyze manufacturing variances, and ensure the integrity of cost data. You will also contribute to forecasting cycles, audit support, and continuous improvement of financial processes related to inventory and production costing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month end / quarter end closing activities in the inventory/manufacturing area
• Perform monthly production variance analysis and support forecast update
• Prepare monthly management reporting of actuals vs forecast/AOP
• Support annual physical inventory count for manufacturing suppliers
• Support standard cost cycles and reserve analysis testing during close
• Prepare monthly supplier rebate forecast and actual calculations
• Support FP&A activities for Singapore
• Follow up on open PO and other operations related accruals to ensure accuracy
• Support semi-annual Financial Assessment for Inventory vendor
• Liaise with Internal & External auditors
• Any other ad hoc activities assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Equivalent, with at least 3 years of working experience in Costing or Inventory
• Strong Excel required Knowledge of accounting & MS office software SAP experience will be a plus
• Meticulous, organized and process driven
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
• Experience in multinational environment and/or semiconductor industry preferred
• Comfortable working with cost structures, manufacturing concepts, and large datasets.
