Summary:

Apeejay Newsroom is a platform for stakeholder engagement. The Newsroom publishes interviews of student achievers, parents, alumni, faculty and covers live events at Institutes. The role requires close collaboration with institutes and the internal newsroom team to write and publish interviews of parents, students, alumni and faculty as also publish these interviews in coordination with the design team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews of parents, students, teachers and alumni.
• Write stories based on Interviews and publish them regularly.
• Coordinate with colleagues for Interview leads
• Coordinate with the design team for story layouts
• Ensure appropriate communication of the published story to relevant stakeholders ( internal and external)
• Edit student contributions and check for spelling and grammatical errors
• Write blogs from a Marketing / SEO purpose
• Track story opportunities with colleagues and institutions of Apeejay

Job Knowledge (Prerequisite):

• The incumbent should have excellent communication skills
• Skilled in written and verbal English communication
• Should have a passion for writing
• A positive attitude and an inclination to learn and grasp new concepts
• Understanding the trends in education and an avid reader who can seamlessly contribute to writing good quality blogs which generate reader interest

Experience:

• An experience of 4 to 6 years in content writing
• Experience and knowledge of the education sector will be preferred
• Internships / experience from media organizations will be preferred

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• Masters in English or Journalism
