Job Description

Job Title:Manager- CSR Finance and Compliance

Location:Bangalore

Department: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Finance

Role Overview:

The Manager CSR Finance and Compliance ensure financial governance, statutory compliance, and transparent reporting for all CSR initiatives in accordance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and CSR Rules. This role involves managing budgets, monitoring fund utilization, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, supporting audits, and handling book closure activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Budgeting

  • Prepare and manage annual CSR budgets aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor CSR fund allocation and utilization as per approved projects.
  • Ensure timely disbursement of funds to implementing agencies.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, 2013, CSR Rules, and MCA notifications.
  • Maintain documentation for CSR expenditure, project approvals, and impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with legal and audit teams for statutory filings and CSR disclosures.

Book Closure & Audit

  • Perform CSR-related book closure activities at quarter-end and year-end.
  • Ensure accurate accounting entries for CSR spend and commitments.
  • Support internal and statutory audits, including providing schedules and reconciliations.
  • Address audit observations and implement corrective actions.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare quarterly and annual CSR financial reports for management and board review.
  • Draft CSR disclosures for Board's Report and Form CSR-2 filing with MCA.
  • Analyze fund utilization and provide insights on program efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with NGOs, implementation partners, and internal teams for fund governance.
  • Ensure compliance with partner agreements and timely submission of reports.

Risk Management

  • Identify financial and compliance risks in CSR operations and implement controls.
  • Support internal and external audits of CSR activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance from Tiered Institute).

Experience: 48 years in finance, compliance, or audit; CSR exposure preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of CSR laws and financial compliance.

Proficiency in financial analysis and statutory reporting.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
