About the Role

We are looking for a Corporate Legal Officer with strong experience in handling corporate legal matters, civil and criminal cases, and a good understanding of immigration processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring legal compliance, managing disputes, and supporting business operations with sound legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and manage civil and criminal litigation matters, including coordination with external legal counsel and court proceedings
  • Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, legal notices, and policies
  • Provide legal advisory on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, statutory regulations, and corporate governance standards
  • Manage legal documentation, case records, and filings
  • Liaise with government authorities, legal bodies, and regulatory agencies
  • Support internal stakeholders on legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Assist in immigration-related processes (basic understanding required – visas, compliance, documentation)
  • Handle dispute resolution, arbitration, and legal negotiations
  • Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations impacting the business

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • LLB / LLM from a recognized university
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate legal functions
  • Strong experience in handling civil and criminal cases
  • Good exposure to contract management and legal compliance
  • Basic understanding of immigration laws/processes (hands-on is a plus, not mandatory)
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
