Corporate Insurance Specialist / Corporate Benefits Executive / Corporate Protection Advisor

Role Description

Support organizational risk protection and employee benefits through effective insurance coordination, program administration, or advisory services. Assess coverage needs, maintain accurate records, and work with insurers, brokers, HR, finance, and specialist advisers to deliver appropriate solutions within the assigned remit.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather information on business exposures, employee populations, existing coverage, and protection needs.
• Coordinate quotations, renewals, policy documentation, and approval processes.
• Compare coverage, premiums, limits, exclusions, deductibles, and service arrangements.
• Maintain policy schedules, benefits records, renewal calendars, and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support claims notification, document collection, and progress tracking.
• Monitor expenditure, claims trends, service quality, and recurring coverage concerns.
• Prepare reports and explain policy or program features accurately.
• Escalate coverage gaps, disputed claims, and complex questions to qualified specialists.
• Protect personal, medical, and commercially sensitive information.
• Improve administrative workflows and employee or stakeholder guidance.
• Follow applicable authorization, disclosure, and approval requirements.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Corporate Insurance Specialist: Coordinate commercial insurance programs, exposure data, renewals, and claims. Support coverage reviews for relevant risks, such as property, liability, professional indemnity, cyber, or business interruption.
• Corporate Benefits Executive: Administer employee benefits, including enrolment, eligibility changes, provider coordination, and employee enquiries. Support renewals and communications with HR and payroll teams.
• Corporate Protection Advisor: Assess business protection needs and explain suitable insurance options within professional authorization. Coordinate recommendations relating to exposures such as key-person loss, ownership succession, or business liabilities, involving legal and tax specialists where needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in corporate insurance, employee benefits, insurance broking, risk management, HR operations, or a related field.
• Understanding of insurance principles, policy terms, claims processes, or benefits administration appropriate to the role.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to compare options and communicate coverage limitations clearly.
• Effective relationship-building and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and relevant policy, benefits, or CRM systems.
• Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
• Sound judgment, professional integrity, and discretion.
• A diploma or degree in insurance, risk management, business, finance, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant licenses, examinations, or professional authorization where required for advisory or distribution activities.
• For specialist and advisory roles, experience independently handling assigned coverage reviews or client needs assessments.

• Experience supporting multi-entity organizations or regional programs.
• Familiarity with claims analysis, coverage benchmarking, and provider performance reviews.
• Exposure to flexible benefits platforms or benefits system implementation.
• Experience preparing renewal submissions and coordinating complex claims.
• Relevant industry knowledge and understanding of the organization's risk profile.
