Position Overview
We are seeking a Finance Specialist with 35 years of continuous experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm, and who is currently working in a CA firm environment. The role demands strong technical depth in taxation, audit, accounting, and regulatory compliance, coupled with client-facing maturity and execution ownership. This is a mid-level role with independent handling responsibility and direct exposure to partners and high-growth clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- End-to-end accounting and monthly book closure
- Ledger scrutiny and periodic financial review
- Preparation and finalization of:
- Balance Sheet
- Profit & Loss Account
- Cash Flow Statement
- MIS reporting and variance analysis
- Client-level review and advisory inputs
2. Direct Taxation
- Preparation and review of:
- Income Tax Computations (Individuals, Firms, LLPs, Companies)
- Corporate & Non-corporate ITR filings
- Tax audit support and execution
- Handling income tax notices and departmental representations
- TDS compliance and reconciliation
3. Indirect Taxation (GST)
- GST return filing (GSTR-1, 3B, Annual Returns)
- Reconciliation of GST vs Books
- ITC validation and advisory
- Handling GST notices and replies
4. Audit & Assurance
- Statutory audits
- Tax audits
- Government Audit assignments
- Transfer pricing exposure (basic working knowledge preferred)
- Internal audit assignments
- Financial due diligence assistance
5. Regulatory & Other Compliances
- ROC compliance (basic filings and annual forms)
- FEMA compliance (basic understanding)
- Labour law compliance (PF, ESIC, PT)
- Payroll processing and statutory reconciliation
- End-to-end Startup compliance and reporting exposure
6. Client & Practice Management
- Independent handling of allocated clients
- Meeting compliance deadlines without supervision
- Coordination with juniors and article assistants
- Escalation management with partners
Eligibility Criteria
- 35 years of continuous experience in a CA firm (Mandatory)
- Currently employed in a CA firm (Mandatory)
- Experienced Graduate with 35 years of continuous CA firm experience / Semi-qualified CA
- Strong exposure to multi-client handling
Technical Skill Requirements
Hands-on experience in:
- Tally
- QuickBooks
- Zoho Books (preferred)
Strong MS Excel proficiency:
(VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
Working knowledge of:
- Income Tax Act
- GST Law
- Companies Act compliances
- Basic FEMA provisions
