We are working with a Global Financial Institution on a Corporate Credit Risk Analyst to join their Risk Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of corporate clients, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and providing recommendations that support prudent lending and risk decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed credit analysis of corporate and commercial borrowers across various industries.
- Review financial statements, cash flow projections, business plans, and market data to assess credit risk.
- Prepare comprehensive credit papers and risk recommendations for approval committees.
- Evaluate risk ratings, covenant structures, collateral arrangements, and credit mitigation strategies.
- Monitor existing credit exposures and identify emerging risks within the portfolio.
- Perform annual reviews, portfolio analyses, and industry assessments.
- Support stress testing, risk reporting, and portfolio monitoring activities.
- Partner with Relationship Managers and stakeholders to structure transactions aligned with risk appetite.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and lending standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the credit risk framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience within financial services in corporate credit analysis, corporate banking, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow modelling, and credit risk fundamentals.
- Experience writing credit proposals and presenting risk recommendations.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
