Job Description
Respond to network incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Perform initial triage and troubleshooting of network-related incidents.
- Troubleshoot network issues related to Cisco Routing & Switching, Zscaler, Meraki,
and SD-WAN technologies.
- Analyze network performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues.
- Configure and deploy Cisco routers and switches for LAN and WAN connectivity.
- Implement VLANs, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing for network segmentation.
- Deploy and maintain Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access
(ZPA) solutions.
- Assist in the deployment and management of SD-WAN and Meraki solutions,
including vManage, vBond, and vSmart.
Assist in the implementation of network changes and updates following change
management processes.
- Document all changes made to network configurations and ensure compliance with
company policies and procedures.
- Design and implement complex Cisco Routing & Switching configurations, including
dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Optimize network performance and reliability by fine-tuning routing protocols and
QoS policies.
- Design and implement advanced Zscaler security policies to protect against
evolving threats.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues, including packet captures
and analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network incidents and implement
preventive measures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Level 1 support engineers on troubleshooting
methodologies.
- Conduct capacity planning assessments to ensure network scalability and
performance.
- Design and implement network architecture changes to support business
requirements and growth.
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for network upgrades and
enhancements.
- Engage with vendors and third-party providers to resolve escalated network issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support activities for critical network
components.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and product selection processes for network
infrastructure.
